Ask all companies for a copy of their insurance and warranty policies. Many times, they will claim that they can guarantee a leak-free basement and the fine print in their warranty will indicate something much different.

There are companies that offer great warranties and can back it up. There are also companies that give you an "amazing" warranty with so many conditions that it is highly unlikely that they ever have to legally come back and fix the issue.

Beware of fly-by-night contractors offering you a warranty on a job that is valued at more than their net worth.

Also beware of these same contractors offering a 10-year or lifetime warranty on an interior crack injection. Everyone in the foundation industry knows that this method is only a "band-aid" solution and will only last a couple of years at most. You will discover by reading their warranty policy (if they have one) that it only covers the quality of the product used and the workmanship involved and will not cover an actual leak.
